The best practice that Tammy and Roger suggest is setting up in your country of residence for ease of use.

However, if you are going to be selling mostly to the United States then you can consider opening a pro-account on the US Amazon store.

Since Amazon has region specific marketplaces, it really comes down to your ultimate strategy and ability to do banking in that region.
